Toggler Alligator Af6 Flanged Anchor is the go-to choice when you need one anchor that performs across solid and hollow materials - concrete, brick, stone, and drywall - without swapping systems mid-job. Whether you're mounting shelving, handrails, brackets, hose reels, or everyday hardware, these concrete wall anchors deliver a dependable hold in walls, ceilings, and floors. Drill a 1/4 in. hole, set the anchor, then drive your screw (#6 to #12) to lock it in - using a thread length at least equal to the fixture thickness plus 1-3/8 in. for proper engagement. The flanged head adds extra stability in hollow applications compared to a flush-mount style, helping keep the anchor seated and steady while you tighten down for a clean, professional finish. If you're building out a toolkit of heavy duty wall anchors for drywall and masonry, Af6 is the versatile "grab-and-go" option that helps reduce guesswork and callbacks. Built from corrosion-resistant polypropylene, the Af6 is engineered to adapt to what's behind the surface. In solid substrates like concrete, brick, and stone, the body expands and elongates to fill and mold to the hole - distributing force evenly along its length to help prevent wall fracture and create a strong mechanical bond. In hollow materials (or when a "solid" wall hides an unexpected cavity), the anchor's jaws open as the screw is inserted, locking the screw-and-anchor assembly in place for added security. This is why many installers rely on Toggler as both concrete wall anchors for tough substrates and heavy duty wall anchors for drywall when the jobsite throws surprises. For reference strength, ultimate tensile values are listed at 69lb. in 1/2 in. drywall and 675lb. in 3,500 psi concrete when paired with a #10 sheet metal screw, with safe working loads recommended at one-fourth or less of published maximums (per local regulations).
